Commercial Property | Partial Refurbishment of Heating Main Distribution System

Piping ages over time and warrants preventive replacement, as untreated steel pipes always carry a risk of rusting through. During a routine inspection of the heating system's main distribution unit, a closer look at the large header pipes revealed several areas of deep-seated rust. We decided to completely replace the flow and return headers. In addition, the entire main distribution assembly was slightly raised and re-supported.

Collaboration with Halter Gebäudetechnik AG was highly professional; the technicians involved did an excellent job, ensuring not only that the connections were leak-proof but also that their functionality was optimized.

The project was carried out while the facility remained in operation, ensuring a continuous supply of hot water. Next, we will renew the piping between the boiler and the distribution manifold (hot water, cold water, and circulation lines) and replace the old galvanized steel pipes with stainless steel ones.
